General Info

Located along Doña Soledad Avenue in Better Living Subdivision, the atmosphere at Fat Frank's Steaks & Shakes Doña Soledad Ave feels instantly welcoming. Sitting just opposite Parañaque Doctors Hospital, this casual restaurant is easy to spot and surprisingly comfortable whether you’re dropping by for a quick bite or planning a relaxed meal with friends or family. The location itself makes it convenient for locals in Don Bosco and nearby neighborhoods, and it’s the kind of place people remember after their first visit.

Walking in, the vibe immediately feels laid-back and trendy without being over the top. The dining area has a relaxed energy that works well for different kinds of guests. Families with kids feel comfortable here, groups of friends can chat without feeling rushed, and even solo diners can enjoy the calm setting. One detail I noticed right away is how the restaurant manages to keep things casual while still feeling organized and welcoming.

The menu leans toward approachable comfort food with a focus on satisfying portions and easy-to-share options. Small plates are a highlight, making it easy to sample different items without committing to a full meal right away. This style works well when dining with friends because everyone can try a few selections from the menu together. It also keeps the experience flexible, especially for those who prefer lighter bites instead of heavier meals.

For families, the restaurant clearly keeps younger guests in mind. The kids’ menu is a thoughtful addition that makes dining out less stressful for parents. Children can choose meals that suit their taste, while adults can explore the broader menu at their own pace. This small but important detail makes the restaurant feel genuinely family-friendly rather than simply claiming to be.

Another thing that stands out during a visit is the easygoing service style. The environment encourages you to relax and enjoy the moment instead of rushing through the meal. Conversations flow easily here, and the casual dining setup supports that comfortable, social atmosphere.

Reviews from regular visitors often highlight the same points: convenient location, friendly environment, and a menu that works well for both adults and kids. Whether someone stops by after errands in Better Living Subdivision or meets friends for a casual meal, the restaurant manages to provide a consistently relaxed experience.

Overall, the combination of a practical location on Doña Soledad Avenue, a welcoming dining space, and a menu built around shareable plates gives the place a strong neighborhood feel. It’s the type of restaurant where the atmosphere encourages people to slow down, enjoy the food, and spend time together.

What customers say?

“ One of the best Steakhouse I've been too. Their Porterhouse Steak is a must. A great place to bring your parents, (or any old souls) for breakfast, lunch, or dinner because of its Vintage Theme. ”

- Lima “Bravo” Papa -

“ American here. The photos of this place is old. The new Fat Frank's combined with a Japanese style restaurant in a place without any atmosphere whatsoever. It is clear that the restaurant went under before and they are barely making it. However, the food was good so I won't complain. Only rating it a four star due to the misleading pictures which ended up shocking me and my wife. ”

- The Otaku Ranter -

“ American themed restaurant, gives that "60's jukebox drive-in" feel. They serve steaks & milkshakes. They have filipino food too. Family friendly. ”

- Eero Martinez -

“ I chose this place for dinner because of the good Google ratings and not to mention it was walking distance from the hotel. The ratings weren't wrong. I was slightly surprised by how good the food here tasted. I got the chicken steak and their basic burger. The burger was substantial and had a smoky grilled taste. There was an adequate amount of fries on the side. The vegetables paired with the steak were buttery adding another dimension of flavor. The place was well appointed and cozy. I'd recommend this place for a dinner with your loved ones. ”

- Nestor Valente -

“ The food is good and they serve it at a reasonable price though some are expensive. The ambiance is nice. It has a vintage feel. The parking space though is quite limited. ”

- Kristien Lane -

“ Cosy American environment, and nice helpful staff. There's a big variety of food both from US, European and Filipino /Asian cuisine. Super great atmosphere and affordable dishes. I can surely recommend their steaks with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes, with a lot of creamy brown gravy. Prices from around 240₱. My best bet ”

“ Great place for all kinds of celebrations.Delicious Food and Awesome place to chill and hang out! ”

- Su Weh -

“ The burger was sooo big and tasty! Definitely worrth the price. But the serving of the fries is not proportional to the burger. The place is nice, but they need to inprove the exhaust system in their kitchen as the smoke from the kitchen goes out to the dining area. The restroom is also nice, toilets have bidet. ”
